Dan Mullen is a smart man. Yes, a tremendous football coach too, but he knows when to take advantage of a free opportunity and this is one of them. Not that any Florida fan is upset with last week's loss to Alabama, but sometimes it's nice to take a little frustration out after a game like that and unfortunately for Tennessee, they drew the short straw in timing. Most times in this spot the Gators would lose interest in the 2nd half, however Florida never turns down an opportunity to rub it in Tennessee's faces. The hatred is still there. Mullen plays to the crowd, Gators roll.
The Gators are getting a big boost here based off of what they did last week against Alabama. I will say this though: They will have QB Anthony Richardson back and ready to go against the Vols, adding another dynamic element to the offense. However, this Tennessee team can move the ball on offense and does a great job of playing with tempo and pace. The offense tends to operate with much more balance than Florida's does. Also, because of the way the Gators came up a bit short against Alabama, this could be a situation in which last week's loss becomes this week's problem. I expect a tight game.
