Florida State is using a third string quarterback, but the Seminoles do return 15 players on defense with seven or more starts at this level. With their No. 1 QB the Seminoles have averaged just 21.3 points a game against a below average defensive schedule. Notre Dame's defense has shut out South Florida and held Duke to 13 points. Florida State looked truly uninspiring in the second half last week against FCS member Jacksonville State and now turns to redshirt sophomore Jordan Travis, who will be the team's third different starting quarterback this season. That's not a good sign. My model says Notre Dame covers 60 percent of the time, so you're getting strong value with the Irish at this number.

Florida State had to work hard last week in order to beat a Jacksonville State team. The Seminoles still don't look quite right on offense, and it really hinders a defense that has played well throughout the year. In this matchup, they face arguably the best offensive line they've seen, and a defense that's able to matchup with them on the perimeter.
