Louisiana was able to escape with an overtime victory last week against Georgia State. This week provides a different, more unique challenge in Georgia Southern as the Eagles are bringing their spread-option attack to town. Georgia Southern's QB Shai Werts is a terrific player, one who can also be effective in throwing the ball downfield. That makes their triple option a quadruple one, and will help keep this game against the Ragin' Cajuns very close.

Georgia Southern ranked 7th in the country last year in rushing yards, while Louisiana was 6th. Georgia Southern averaged 130 plays per game in 2019 and 124 two years ago. ULL plays slower than the average team. This will be a fast game with a below-average amount of plays. The Eagles have revenge on their minds from last season's 37-24 loss to Louisiana.
