The North Carolina Tar Heels will aim to go 3-0 as they travel in-state to take on Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons have shown a prolific offense, scoring 38 points and 41 to begin the season. But look for a full four quarters of focus to continue to benefit the Tar Heels. Grab North Carolina.

The Wake Forest offense has been rather feisty through the first two weeks of the season, but I think it could run into some problems against the Tar Heels on Friday night. With a young QB on the road, I expect Mack Brown to get a bit conservative and try to slow things down as much as possible. That, combined with some windy conditions, should suppress the scoring here.

It’s hard to believe these tobacco-road neighbors haven’t played each other since 2015 despite both being in the ACC. Wake Forest has only covered two of its last 10 home games and its defense has allowed an average of 458 yards per game. Coach Mack Brown has come to Chapel Hill and made an immediate impact with outright wins as an underdog in the first two games. Back the Tar Heels to make it three straight.

It's been a great start for old-but-new Tar Heels coach Mack Brown, as his UNC squad has started the season 2-0. Its most recent triumph, against the Hurricanes, was arguably their most impressive as it took a total team effort to get the job done. Wake Forest is off to an impressive 2-0 start as well. QB Jamie Newman is the one player in the country no one is talking about. He's been lights-out against both Rice and Utah State. Quietly, Newman is becoming the top pro QB prospect in the ACC.
