The Golden Gophers have lost four straight by double figures following a promising 3-0 start. They are now in desperation mode to become bowl-eligible avoid terming the season a disaster. They should be in good shape Friday to get their first Big 10 win against a similarly reeling Indiana club that is coming off a near-upset of powerful Penn State. This is a letdown spot for the Hoosiers. Minnesota QB Zack Annexstad might not play because of an injury, but backup Tanner Morgan filled in capably against Nebraska last week.

The Hoosiers have offensive talent and they can score in bunches. Defensively, they've been inconsistent, but they may not make a difference as they are facing a Gophers team that's struggling on the offensive side of the ball. Despite what we saw in that Nebraska game, the Gophers' offensive ineffectiveness is exactly what we've come to expect at this point of the season. Take the Hoosiers in this one.
