The early Big Ten slate has broken kindly for the Illini, which in four tries has faced only one top contender, and lost that one (Nebraska). That changes on Sunday at Iowa City as Ben McCollum's Hawkeyes are a top-tier Big Ten entry that looks as if it might carry a major home-court edge all season. Iowa bounced back smartly from losses to top ten Michigan State and Iowa State earlier this season and looks to make amends for the midweek loss at Minnesota when the Hawks nearly recovered from a 14-point deficit to force OT.
