Big West quarterfinal. No. 3 seed UC Riverside has been off since Saturday and has won four of five. That loss was at Cal Poly but in overtime and the Highlanders easily won the other meeting. Barrington Hargress was named first-team All-Big West and set the single-season school record for points. No. 7 seed Cal Poly played last night and was able to rally from a nine-point halftime deficit to advance. The Mustangs are rather thin, though, so all their starters played heavy minutes.
