Coastal Carolina is hosting a tournament at the HTC Center in Myrtle Beach and they’ve already got one win under their belt after a rough 11-20 season last season. But they’ve got lots of new players and won a high-scoring game, 88-86, to Piedmont. But the main reason for the Over here is Wichita State hired Paul Mills who led Oral Roberts to the NCAAs in two of the last three years while averaging over 80 ppg the last four seasons. His guys will play fast. Over is the play.

This is more of a fade against Coastal Carolina. Cliff Ellis is in his 50th year coaching college basketball and 17th at Coastal Carolina. Last year was one of his worst team in his career. He only returns three player with experience in the program with just one of them being a starter. He did bring in 7 transfers. They beat Piedmont 88-86 on Nov 6th. Two things, they beat Piedmont by 2 and it was 10 days ago. Well three things. The defense has terrible. Paul Mills took Oral Roberts from 11 wins to 30 in six years. My model has Wichita State by 15.
