The Bears have Final Four potential, but could see a letdown Monday night following their 81-72 win over Texas in which they rallied from an early 14-point hole. Leading scorer Keyonte George will be out because of ankle injury suffered in that game. Baylor still has plenty of weapons but this is a last stand for a desperate Oklahoma State club that has now lost four straight following a 73-68 home loss to Kansas State in which the Cowboys squandered an eight-point lead. The Cowboys need to win their last two to finish .500 in conference play and they should get halfway there Monday.
Baylor is without Keyonte George, who also missed last game against Texas. However, in that game, the Bears showed much deeper they are. They have not been good on the road but Baylor is shooting 41.7 percent from beyond the arc over their last three games as compared to Oklahoma State's 23.6 percent. The Cowboys are 11-4 at home and will try to slow down the pace of the game if they want to win. This line reminds me of when Kansas came to Stillwater and the better overall team prevailed. I'm on Baylor.
Baylor beat Oklahoma State 74-58 when they met on Jan. 14 and I like them to do it again. Oklahoma State is projected to be one of the last four in, but could fall out by losing its final two games before the Big-12 Tournament starts. This is a huge game for OSU, but so was two weeks ago against Kansas or last week at West Virginia. Baylor has gotten better at this point, and Oklahoma State has gotten worse. Take Baylor to cover.
This is a massive game for the host Cowboys, who have lost four straight and aren't a sure thing to make the NCAA Tournament. It's their final home game, and they have a chance to punch their ticket with a win over No. 9 Baylor. The Bears won't have leading scorer Keyonte George (16.3 ppg) due to an ankle injury. However, Baylor showed its offensive depth in beating Texas 81-72. The Bears boast plenty of firepower beyond L.J. Cryer and Adam Flagler, and OSU's once-vaunted defense is vulnerable. Without senior guard Avery Anderson -- the Cowboys' best on-ball defender who is out following wrist surgery -- OSU has given up an average of 86.3 points during its four-game skid. Lay the small number.as Baylor win its eighth straight visit to Stillwater.
