North Carolina should be well-rested after more than a week off, but the rest/rust debate is a valid consideration when you factor in the recent history of this series. Pitt won the first meeting of this season, 76-74, which extended the Panthers' run of success in the series to four wins in the last five games. Pitt coach Jeff Capel has also come out victorious in each of his last two visits to the Smith Center, defeating Roy Williams in 2020 and Hubert Davis in 2022. UNC will have revenge on its mind after the early season defeat, but winning this game will be tough and I don't see the Tar Heels serving up a blowout win.
