Rutgers comes home to Jersey Mike's Arena (formerly the RAC) after a bad loss on the road to Minnesota. The Scarlet Knights are fantastic at home, with wins over Michigan, Iowa and Purdue. Rutgers played Maryland on the road 10 days ago, winning 70-59. The Terrapins are coming off their biggest win of the season, an 81-65 win over Illinois. Rutgers already won in College Park less than two weeks ago 70-59 and the Scarlet Knights stink on the road -- but are gangbusters at the RAC in Piscataway. There will be a sellout tonight. Maryland, meanwhile, has one true road win and that was in double OT at Northwestern. Yes, the Terps come off a win over Illinois but that was at home and a major trap game for the Illini minus Kofi Cockburn. The Scarlet Knights have never beaten the Terrapins twice in a season since both teams joined the Big Ten. That trend ends.

We're getting good value because Rutgers comes off yet another road loss versus depleted Minnesota, while Maryland enters off a dominant win over Kofi Cockburn-less Illinois. After allowing the Golden Gophers to shoot 54.2 percent, Steve Pikiell's team will lock down on defense at the RAC. Ron Harper Jr. went off for 31 points in the first meeting with the Terps, a 70-59 Rutgers win, and I'm expecting another big game from him tonight after he put up 12 points and four turnovers at Minnesota.
