    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Max's Analysis:

This is St. Thomas' first season in Div. I, and, aside from its very first game, the Tommies have looked good. Their offense has been very efficient with their slow pace of play. They love the 3-ball as they make 13.7 per game on 40.6 percent shooting. Meanwhile the Seattle Redhawks have been mediocre on both sides of the ball. Their schedule has been fairly easy so far as they have faced only one good offense, Washington State. This spread is too big for how good the St. Thomas offense is and for how slow the Tommies play. Take the points.
