Count me among the college basketball observers who will believe an NCAA Tournament without the Duke Blue Devils when I see it. But despite the mystifying struggles of so many so-called blue bloods, there's no denying Duke probably needs to at least reach the ACC title game in order to get consideration into the field. The Devils might not make it, but it would be even more surprising if they don't at least get close. Matthew Hurt, the best player left on this marginal club, struggled in Tuesday's opener against Boston College but had a big game in a narrow loss to Louisville in the first meeting. Look for him to lead the Blue Devils to a do-or-die win Wednesday.
