Northwestern beat the Buckeyes 71-70 in Evanston the day after Christmas and thus should feel plenty confident. Duane Washington Jr. missed a driving layup for Ohio State with five seconds left. The Wildcats haven't won since, being blown out their past three -- all against ranked teams. So why take them here? They are well-rested, having played most recently last Thursday. OSU also might be due for a bit of a letdown after an upset win at Rutgers on Saturday, and the Nuts will be without their top two point guards in CJ Walker and Jimmy Sotos due to injury. Ohio State is 1-5 ATS in its past six after a cover.
The Buckeyes have revenge on their minds in this matchup vs. the Wildcats. Ohio State has a 6-0 home record and is blowing out most of its opponents. The Wildcats have dropped three straight, all by double digits since their last win over the Buckeyes on Dec. 26. Northwestern has struggled on the road this year and the team is coming off an epic one-sided loss against Illinois. The Buckeyes are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 home games.
