For a team that won a Power 5 regular-season title by three games, Washington sure doesn't seem to get much respect. There was even absurd speculation that the Huskies might not make the NCAA field should they have an early exit from the Pac-12 Tournament. Sure, they stumbled down the stretch a bit, but a three-loss season in any conference is impressive. The Ducks are coming on strong but could be a bit weary after an overtime contest Friday. Washington is the better team, regardless.
Washington was one of the best cover teams in the nation through January, playing way above its rating. But the Huskies have come back to earth in the last month going 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, which includes a horrible loss at Cal and also a home loss to Oregon last week. The Ducks have the NCAAs on their mind and the only way in is to win tonight. They've won and covered their last seven games. I'm taking the hot team, Oregon.
Ever burn yourself just to feel alive? No? Stop looking at me like I'm weird, I'm just asking, I didn't say I do it. Instead I just like taking Unders when the totals are this low. Plus, you know, the fact both of these teams move at a slow place and have been in the bottom half of the Pac-12 offensively during conference play doesn't hurt either. Neither does the fact Oregon's playing its fourth game in four days, including an OT affair last night. It's Washington's third game in three days as well. This one could get ugly, folks. Bill Walton's gonna be at his craziest.
