Jonathan Coachman is  joined on the lineup card by top sports betting experts Mike McClure and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. The team provides their favorite picks for MLB Opening Day, the NBA and the NHL.

In the leadoff spot, Mike supplies several important NBA injury updates, as we cannot forget about a busy slate on the same day as MLB. He shares key info on prime performers such as Joel Embiid, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Paul George and many more. Larry then turns to the highly intriguing storyline of the new ball in the Majors, and how it may affect totals. Plus, SportsLine has brought in many big pickups for MLB handicapping this season. It is Opening Day for them as well.

The Coach skates in with the SportsLine Play of the Day in the NHL, pointing out why you must jump on the Canadiens and Senators at under six goals at 7 p.m. ET.

Mike throws the first three pitches of the day in terms of MLB selections. He is on Cleveland for the first five inning run line at -130 as the Tigers play host in Detroit at 1:10 p.m. ET. The weather can only help Shane Bieber dominate again, he says. He is also taking the Yankees in the first five inning run line of -115 over the Blue Jays at 1:05 p.m. ET. The weather and new ball can be advantages for Gerrit Cole, too. Mike feels very strongly about the Reds -115 over the Cardinals at 1:10 p.m. ET. He is very concerned that the line is inflated because of St. Louis' acquisition of Nolan Arenado.

Larry then slides in with his pick of the Royals -153 over the Rangers at 4:10 p.m. ET. "I like the Royals this year. I think they are going to be better than most people expect," he says. "Brad Keller had a 1.02 WHIP and a 2.47 ERA last season. They won his five home starts. The Royals actually went 16-8 in spring training and won 12 of their final 18 games last season. The Rangers are just not going to hit this year." Larry, coming off a perfect day in props, delivers his first two MLB plays of the season, with Cole under 8.5 strikeouts and Bieber going over that number. In the NBA, he will continue to ride with Michael Porter Jr. over 25.5 points, assists and rebounds in Nuggets-Clippers at 10 p.m. ET.
