Jonathan Coachman connects with top sports betting experts Mike McClure and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. The team delivers their prime picks for the NBA, NHL and Valero Texas Open for Wednesday, March 31. They also look ahead to MLB Opening Day, the Final Four and the NFL in 2021.

The guys open up with key storylines, including an in-depth breakdown on the effects of the new 17-game schedule in the NFL. Mike then has a highly detailed NBA injury rundown on teams such as the Pacers, Pistons and Rockets. He provides updates on key players such as Jaylen Brown and Donovan Mitchell. Larry follows up with an early look at the unprecedented line for Gonzaga-UCLA on Saturday, Where will it go from here?

The Coach provides a deluxe suite of selections, beginning with the SportsLine Plays of the Day in the NBA and NHL. He endorses the Maple Leafs -140 over the Jets at 7:30 p.m. ET, as Winnipeg might be feeling overworked. He is on the Kings +120 over the Spurs at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Coach then shares his favorite Valero Texas Open selections. He likes Charley Hoffman -100 over Si Woo Kim, as Hoffman has simply owned this event. He is all over Sam Ryder -125 over Phil Mickelson.

Mike throws out the first MLB pitch of the 2021 season on the Early Edge, revealing his early pick of the Twins -105 over the Brewers on Thursday at 2:10 p.m. ET. He expects Kenta Maeda to pick up where he left off last year while Minnesota flashes their combinations of power and speed. in the NBA for Wednesday, he is taking the Blazers -7 over the Pistons at 7 p.m. ET. "The Pistons are going to be without Wayne Ellington, Killian Hayes hasn't returned yet, and Dennis Smith Jr. is out as well. It's leaving them relatively thin when it comes to ball handling," he says. "They're going to have additional pressure as they will have to defend Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Norman Powell. I think that's where the Pistons are vulnerable." The Blazers pick sparks a strong reaction from the Coach, and he issues a challenge on the outcome.

Larry delivers a large package of NBA props. He recommends Robert Covington over 9.5 points, and then moves to Pacers-Heat at 7 p.m. ET for Caris LeVert under 27.5 points, rebounds and assists and Myles Turner under 6.5 rebounds. Larry's featured prop is Julius Randle under 17.5 rebounds and assists, as the Knicks star is feeling the effects of logging a ton of minutes up to this point of the season.
