Duke and Gonzaga now stand alone as the favorites to win the 2021 NCAA Tournament following the NBA Draft early entry deadline.

Sunday night was the deadline for deadline for underclassmen to make themselves available for the 2020 NBA Draft. The next key date regarding the draft from a college basketball perspective is June 15, when underclassmen who haven't hired an agent can still withdraw from the draft and return to school. As things stand now, though, Duke and Gonzaga are the +1000 betting favorites at William Hill sportsbook to win the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

That June 15 deadline could well be pushed back if/when the 2020 NBA Draft is – and it almost surely will be moved due to the coronavirus pandemic and the fact teams can't work out players or give them physicals.

Both Duke and Gonzaga will/could potentially suffer heavy losses to the draft. The Blue Devils' three best players last season were ACC Player of the Year and point guard Tre Jones, fellow guard Cassius Stanley, a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team, and ACC/National Freshman of the Year Vernon Carey Jr. The three players were the only Blue Devils to average double figures in scoring in the 2019-20 season. They all have declared for the draft, and it doesn't appear as if any have plans to return to Durham.

Duke has had at least one player selected in 32 of 39 drafts under Coach Mike Krzyzewski, and Carey and Jones should go in the first round this year. Stanley is borderline Round 1. On the CBS Sports Sports Big Board, Carey is ranked as the No. 25 overall prospect, Jones 26th and Stanley 27th.

Coach K welcomes the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation via 247Sports. That group is led by Milwaukee forward Jalen Johnson, ranked as the country's No. 11 player.

Gonzaga, meanwhile, has seen West Coast Conference Player of the Year and forward Filip Petrusev, along with fellow forward Corey Kispert and guard Joel Ayayi all declare but none hire an agent. None of the three are ranked in the Top 60 on the CBS Big Board. The Zags also lost power forward Killian Tillie, who was out of eligibility.

Coach Mark Few brings in the No. 11 recruiting class per 247Sports. Minnesota's Jalen Suggs is the No. 8 overall player – not often Top-10 high school players commit to Gonzaga.
