Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Matt's Analysis:

The Blues are certainly no pushovers so this might push (or I suppose even lose, but we try to stay optimistic), but the Avs at Ball Arena are so dominant usually (altitude likely plays a modest role on the opposing clubs) that even getting them -1 against most teams in the NHL is frankly value. Colorado has won 11 in a row at home, the longest streak by any team this season, and Nathan MacKinnon has a point in 23 straight home games, also the longest such run in the league in 2024-25.
