Host Allan Bell is joined by sports betting experts Mike McClure, Micah Roberts and Andrew Gombas on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for Major League Baseball and MMA for Saturday, August 13.

After a neutral weather report from Mike and a rundown of the UFC Fight Night card from Andrew, Allan kicks off the picks with the SportsLine Play of the Day. The site's MLB pick is Colorado +1.5 runs (-125) in Saturday night's Diamondbacks vs. Rockies game (8:10 p.m. ET). The Rockies have been a much better team at home, while Arizona has floundered in away games. The Rockies are covering in 68 percent of the SportsLine Projection Model's simulations.

Mike also has an MLB pick, and while the weather isn't boosting hitting conditions much in most places, it could have a positive effect in Kansas City. So McClure is backing Over 5.5 on the Los Angeles Team Total (-118) in the Dodgers vs. Royals matchup (7:10 p.m. ET). "It's a big number, but again, for good reason," Mike says. "We have excellent hitting conditions." K.C. starter Brad Keller is having an up-and-down season, and he has struggled in August against far lesser teams than the Dodgers.

Micah has two MLB picks, and he is following the streaks. His first play is Cleveland +110 against the Blue Jays (3:07 p.m. ET). The Guardians have won six in a row, while Toronto has lost three straight. The Blue Jays "just look lazy, aloof out there," Roberts says. "They don't look like they're in it, they're waiting for the three-run homer." Toronto hasn't been able to manufacture runs, and that will be a problem against the solid pitching Cleveland has been getting.

Micah's second pick is on Seattle, which has won three in a row and has beaten the Rangers in nine straight. Roberts is taking the Mariners +102 against Texas (7:15 p.m. ET). "The wrong team is favored here," Micah says. "If you can get plus money, take it with Seattle."

Jonathan Coachman joins the show to offer his Cash With The Coach play, and it is from the Professional Fighters League playoffs in Cardiff, Wales. Coach is backing Ante Delija -110 to defeat Renan Ferreira in their heavyweight semifinal bout.

Gombas is all over MMA this weekend, and he has two picks from UFC Fight Night in San Diego, a card that is set to begin at 7 p.m. ET. He is backing the underdog with his first pick, going with Devin Clark +135 against Azamat Murzakanov in a light heavyweight fight on the main card. Murzakanov needed a "hail-mary knockout" to win in his UFC debut, and Clark has faced much better competition, Gombas says.

On the preliminary card, Gombas likes Youssef Zalal -135 over Da'Mon Blackshear in their bantamweight bout. "I think this should be wider," Andrew says. "We're getting a discount on Zalal because he is on a losing streak." But that was in a higher weight class, and he is better in every facet than Blackshear, who is making his UFC debut on short notice.
