Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Martin W. Green, John Bollman and Jon (Buckets) Eimer on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get highlighted plays for MLB, NFL and Champions League for Wednesday, Oct. 5, and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.

Coach starts things off with three SportsLine plays of the day. The first is the Astros Team Total to go Over 3.5 (-150) against the Phillies (4:10 p.m. ET). "[The Astros] are averaging 5.4 runs per game over their last seven," he says.

The second play is Brewers Team Total to go Over 3.5 (-130) against the Diamondbacks (4:10 p.m. ET). "[The Brewers] have been eliminated; we know that," he says. "But they will still score."

The final play comes from Thursday's NFL game: the Colts (+3.5) to cover against the Broncos (8:15 p.m. ET). "The simulations don't believe the Broncos are a very good team," he says.

Eimer has one soccer play from the Champions League: Both Teams To Score in the Real Madrid-Shakhtar match (3 p.m. ET). "I think [Shakhtar] are gonna give the European champions a hard time in this match," he says.

Bollman has one MLB from the final day of the regular season: the Tigers (+135) to beat the playoff-bound Mariners (4:10 p.m. ET). "The Mariners have a game on Friday, so I really don't think that they are gonna pitch any of their top pitchers today," he says.

Green closes out the show with four soccer plays. The first is Juventus (-1.5) to cover against Maccabi Haifa (3 p.m. ET). "[Juventus] desperately need to beat Maccabi Haifa today to claw their way back into contention in this group," he says.

His second play is Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 goals (-120) in the PSG-Benfica match (3 p.m. ET). "They boast a terrific home record, so they can't be taken lightly in this game," he says.

His final two plays come from the Manchester City-Copenhagen match (3 p.m. ET). The first is Man City to win both halves (-134). "I can see them dominating from start to finish," he says.

His final play is Man City's Erling Haaland to score two-plus goals (+137). "He can't stop scoring at the moment," he says.
