CBB | Miami 85 @ Indiana 69 | 03/20 | 12:47 AM UTC

Indiana -1

LOSS

ANALYSIS: Miami big man Norchad Omier played through his ankle injury and had 12 points and 14 rebounds in the win over Drake, but a quick turnaround and having to face Indiana's imposing frontcourt could spell trouble. The Hoosiers are KenPom's 26th-rated team, 15 spots ahead of Miami, which scored a season-low 63 points versus Drake. The Hurricanes do have the better offense, but sport a much worse defense. Look for Trayce Jackson-Davis to dominate again as Indiana advances.

CBB | UCF 54 @ Oregon 68 | 03/19 | 11:30 PM UTC

UCF +3

LOSS

ANALYSIS: Oregon opened the NIT by thumping UC-Irvine with 60 percent of its usual lineup and three primary scorers scratched by injuries. Let's see how the same thinned-out team does against a superior foe, Central Florida. The Knights walloped Florida by 18 on the road in its initial tourney game. A much longer commute works to the Ducks' advantage, but the Knights are road-tested, having beaten Ole Miss from the SEC outside its league and playing Houston to within a half-dozen points.

CBB | Saint Mary's 55 @ UConn 70 | 03/19 | 10:10 PM UTC

UConn -190

WIN

ANALYSIS: Will be essentially a UConn home game in Albany and a second straight game vs. a Gaels opponent. The Huskies handled a good Iona team in Round 1 and has been rolling since the end of January for the most part. UConn is the way more athletic team and better offensively, and SMC struggled with good offensive teams that have an athleticism advantage in the past with one loss to New Mexico and two against Gonzaga. UConn is 0-5 this year when allowing teams to make 47% or more of their shots, but it's hard to see SMC getting that high as the Gaels made just 41% from the field against VCU and that's generally about where they land.

NHL | Winnipeg 0 @ St. Louis 3 | 03/19 | 11:00 PM UTC

Winnipeg -125

LOSS

ANALYSIS: Winnipeg got a big win for its playoff chances last night in Nashville and got top-six forward Pierre-Luc Dubois back from injury in it. He had an assist and was plus-1. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has won his previous three starts vs. the Blues this season, 78 of 82 shots. St. Louis is giving 22-year-old Joel Hofer, a Winnipeg native, his second start in net this season and fourth career. The Blues are 1-6 in their past seven at home.

CBB | Michigan St. 69 @ Marquette 60 | 03/19 | 9:20 PM UTC

Marquette -166

LOSS

ANALYSIS: This isn't a terrible matchup for my Spartans, but I don't think they can beat the Big East champs unless Marquette star Tyler Kolek bangs up his hand worse than he did in Round 1 vs. Vermont. Kolek, a lefty, finished with eight points and four assists, shooting 3 for 11 but having trouble finishing around the basket. The Golden Eagles are college basketball’s sixth-most efficient offense, per Kenpom, including No. 3 in two-point field goal percentage (58.6%). KenPom also has Marquette winning by 3. The Lansing State Journal beat writer for Sparty has them losing by four, so guess I have no choice here.

CBB | Creighton 85 @ Baylor 76 | 03/19 | 11:10 PM UTC

Baylor +1

LOSS

ANALYSIS: Baylor started slow against UC Santa Barbara, but an intense defensive effort that led to 14 forced turnovers allowed the Bears to pull away in the second half. Creighton edged out NC State despite losing the rebounding battle. But the Bluejays had 15 assists on 26 field goals and went 17-of-19 from the free-throw line. Even so, the battle-tested Bears should have the edge in defensive intensity and physicality over a Creighton club that historically falters amid higher stakes. Baylor is a value side Sunday.

CBB | Miami 85 @ Indiana 69 | 03/20 | 12:47 AM UTC

OVER 145.5

WIN

ANALYSIS: This NCAA Tournament has been plagued by Under lines. Well sooner or later things are going to turn and I feel like tonight is the night. Miami has scored 70 or more points in 17 of their last 20 games and in 10 of their last 12 games, the total has gone over this number. The Hurricanes have allowed 70+ in 11 of their last 13 games, and coincidentally Indiana has scored more than 70 in five of their last six contests. It feels like this game is played in the 70s for both teams.

Brook Lopez OVER 15.5 Total Points -121

WIN

ANALYSIS: I will continue to ride the Brook Lopez WAGON until the wheels fall off! Brook Lopez has his this number in 11 of last 14 games, and has hit this number as well as his over 5 games in a row. Vegas continues to get this number wrong, and we will continue to make them pay for it. Let’s go for six straight!

CBB | TCU 81 @ Gonzaga 84 | 03/20 | 1:52 AM UTC

TCU +4.5

WIN

ANALYSIS: Getting by in an ugly manner during March Madness is one of the best carryover value angles. TCU did not deserve to get past Arizona State as it was outplayed by a wide margin. The Horned Frogs now face a Gonzaga team that suits their style better. The Zags lack the athleticism of Arizona State and will have issues handling TCU's offensive spurts. Tail the Horned Frogs.
