PASADENA, Calif. (AP) Cobi Jones scored his first two goals of the season, including the tiebreaker in the 86th minute, as the Los Angeles Galaxy beat the New England Revolution 2-1 Saturday night.

Jones took a pass from Carlos Ruiz and put a shot from just outside the penalty area past goalkeeper Adin Brown before an announced crowd of 15,137.

Daniel Hernandez, a substitute, tied it 1-1 for the Revolution (7-13-1) on a 30-yard free kick in the 62nd minute.

Jones opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, off assists by Erza Hendrickson and Mauricio Cienfuegos. Jones sprinted past defender Nick Downing to get his head on the ball just inside the six-yard box, putting the ball inside the left post.

Los Angeles (10-7-3) led 15-7 in shots and 9-4 on shots on goal. Brown made seven saves, while Galaxy goalkeeper Kevin Hartman made three.
