EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) European soccer powerhouses Real Madrid and A.S. Roma played to a scoreless tie Thursday night in an exhibition game at Giants Stadium. The match, honoring Real Madrid's 100th anniversary, benefited the Global AIDS fund and brought out U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan and former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Real Madrid, with seven World Cup players in its starting lineup, had two good early scoring chances. Roberto Carlos was stopped on an indirect kick in the ninth minute, and fellow defender Ivan Heguiera sent a header wide seconds later. Roma's Damiano Tomassi missed with a hard shot from just outside the box in the 41st minute, and Madrid's Esteban Cambiasso headed the ball just wide of goalkeeper Luis Cesar Sanchez in the 60th minute.
