NEW YORK (Ticker) -- MetroStars forward Mamadou Diallo earned his second Major League Soccer Player of the Week award on Monday.

Diallo scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lead the MetroStars to a 4-3 victory over the New England Revolution Saturday at Giants Stadium. He converted a penalty kick in the first half and restored the advantage right after the break.

Diallo also received the weekly honor on June 17 when he scored four goals in a 5-1 romp over the Los Angeles Galaxy. The striker from Senegal has won the award five times in his three years in the MLS.

"I'm having lots of fun playing with the MetroStars," said Diallo, who has scored nine goals in seven matches with the club. "My situation did not begin well this season, but in the past few weeks in New York, it has gotten so much better for me. I look forward to continuing to work hard and I will do my best to give our fans the MLS championship they deserve."
