Physical right tackle has been one of the stellar performers in the SEC over his three seasons as a starter. The tall, massive Wade has made fine progress while facing some of the best pass rushers throughout his career. He earned first team All-SEC honors as a senior, grading out very high as both a run and pass protector. He has a large frame and carries his 325 lbs. well, displaying very good functional strength. He has a strong base and a huge wingspan, two key components to play on the outside.

He has made nice improvement in both his footwork and blocking techniques, areas that needed work, and now gets full use of his physical tools. He now has a very good hand punch that stops the initial move of defenders, is excellent at maximizing the advantage of his long reach and has a strong, solid base that stops the bull rush well.

However, he has been vulnerable to the inside pass rushing move and was exploited occasionally at the Senior Bowl practices in that maneuver. He showed the ability to learn quickly at those practices and made fast progress, adjusting to that move later in the week. Wade displays quickness off the snap, and can be a powerful drive blocker when he uses his leverage effectively, which he did at a better level of consistency as a senior.

The Old Miss offense ran over his side often in critical situations, knowing that he can get the push on defenders to get the crucial yardage. That ground game finished second in the SEC last season. He displays good balance and body control, which combined with his fine functional strength allows him to anchor well with bull rushers.

He shows the mean streak and toughness to stay with his blocks. He engulfs defenders, especially as a drive blocker, combining his huge wingspan and massive frame. He appears stiff at times and has worked hard to improve his technique in all areas. This rugged well-developed right tackle is a possible early NFL starter at right guard. Possible late 1st round pick.
