Opponents are probably tired of Texas and its top-rated recruiting classes.

In a way, Longhorns fans are sick of them too. They like that Mack Brown is "Mr. February." They would love it if he took that talent and became "Mr. January" when the national title game is played.

Yep, for the fourth time in as many years, Brown rules February with a top five recruiting class. His 1999 and 2000 classes were ranked No. 1 by many analysts.

This year, there is no dispute.

On Wednesday's letter of intent signing day, Texas signed the nation's best haul of recruits.

"They got dominating players on both sides of the ball," said Rick Kimbrel, managing editor of PrepStar recruiting service. "It was a good year in the state of Texas, and Texas did what they had to do in-state."

Nine members of PrepStar's Dream Team (the nation's top 125 prospects) are headed to Austin. Seven of them are from Texas. Overall, this gives the Longhorns 29 Dream Teamers in the past four years, with 11 of them expected to fill starting roles next season. Now, a Big 12 title, at least, would be nice.

After the Longhorns ... well, let's just say SportsLine.com/PrepStar's Top 25 rankings were a work in progress through signing day.

Not even No. 2 Ohio State was safe. Fast-finishing Florida State received something of a surprise commitment Wednesday evening from Lorenzo Booker, the nation's No. 1 running back.

There was already other shuffling as key players made last-minute announcements.

South Carolina moved up after landing the nation's No. 1 linebacker -- Ricardo Hurley. North Carolina moved out after losing Dream Team defensive back A.J. Davis to North Carolina State.

BYU lost the nation's top-rated defender -- lineman Haloti Ngata -- to Oregon, so the Cougars tumbled out of the rankings, too.

Georgia didn't get everyone it wanted on Signing Day, but Mark Richt did land two more Dream Teamers -- OL Max Jean-Gilles and DL Marcus Jackson. So, we bumped the Bulldogs up a few spots.
