Arkansas-Pine Bluff ended its regular season 6-21 overall and 5-13 in the SWAC to finish in a tie for eighth place with Prairie View. The Golden Lions lost three of their last four games and nine of their last 11, including a 95-74 loss to Alabama A&M in the finale.

• UAPB was outscored by an average margin of 12.4 points, succeeded only by Grambling's 18-point per-game deficit.
• UAPB's Patrick Chambers was named to the All-SWAC second team. The 6-7 senior ranked sixth in the league in scoring (16.6 ppg.), first in field goal percentage (60.6 percent) and first in rebounding (8.1 rpg.)
