Schwieterman: "Miami is the Ivy League of the Midwest."
SPiN: How long have you been cheerleading?
Schwieterman: "I've been cheering for nine years, this is my 10th. I started when I was in third grade. My older sister was a cheerleader and I wanted to be like her. She also cheered at Miami, so it was the main reason why I attended (the school) and tried out as well."
SPiN: What's the best thing about cheerleading?
Schwieterman: "It's a lot of fun and you get to do a lot of different things like tumbling and stunting. It's an all-around sport."
SPiN: What's the hardest thing about cheerleading?
Schwieterman: "Well, when you compete, the endurance."
SPiN: What's the most irritating cheerleader stereotype?
Schwieterman: "That they're dumb. Blond, dumb girls."
SPiN: Do you plan on cheerleading as a profession after college?
Schwieterman: "No, I don't think so. (After college) I hope to have a job in marketing and live on my own."
SPiN: What's your favorite movie/TV show about cheerleaders?
Schwieterman: "An MTV Made episode where Julian Hutchinson, a Miami male cheerleader and a Made coach, helped (a high school student, Morgan Ward) become a cheerleader."
SPiN: If Hollywood made a cheerleading movie and you were the star, what actress would play you?
Schwieterman: "Probably Reese Witherspoon, because she is a great actress and everyone likes her."
SPiN: What do you think about Bring It On?
Schwieterman: "I'd probably give it four stars. I like it because it shows how difficult it is to create a routine and how intense competing is. I don't think it should be taken seriously but I can see how people can see it stereotypically and how they develop those ideas."
SPiN: Who's the best looking athlete in sports and why?
Schwieterman: "Tom Brady. No, not Tom Brady -- Brady Quinn. He's got the athletic look to him. He's tall, dark and handsome." (Laughs)
SPiN: What's the most difficult routine you've done as a cheerleader?
Schwieterman: "I'd have to say the all-star routine during my junior year in high school. The dance portion was very long and fast and you needed a lot of endurance for it. The large stunts and mounts, you had to be physically fit for the routine."
SPiN: Who's the most famous person you've met?
Schwieterman: "Ben Roethlisberger. I met him during the Bowling Green game on Oct. 13 when his jersey number was retired."
SPiN: What's your favorite cheer to fire up the home crowd in a close game?
Schwieterman: "We are M U."
SPiN: Why should our readers vote for you?
Schwieterman: "Because I've been cheering for a very long time and I feel that I (should) be rewarded. I put a lot of effort into it."
