ROME (AP) -AS Roma will be without the support of its fans when it tries to win the Serie A title at Catania this weekend after they were banned Tuesday due to fears they could incite rioting.
However, Italy's Interior Ministry said Inter Milan fans will be allowed to travel to Parma in the last round of the season with their team leading by one point from Roma after being ahead by 11 in February.
To take the title, Roma has to win while Inter loses as it has an inferior head-to-head record. At the same time, Catania and Parma are pitted in a battle to avoid relegation to Serie B.
Authorities banned Catania fans from attending their home games for several months last year after a policeman was killed in rioting by fans.
