Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure sidelined for 4 weeks with thigh injury

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -FC Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure will be sidelined for four weeks with a torn muscle in his left thigh.

Toure underwent tests Sunday after sustaining the injury in the closing stages of Barcelona's 4-1 win at Levante in the Spanish league the previous day.

The 24-year-old Ivory Coast midfielder has settled well with his new club following a ?9 million (then US$12.1 million) transfer from AS Monaco in June.

Toure, the younger brother of Arsenal defender Kolo Toure, has started all of Barcelona's six league games this season as well as the team's opening Champions League win over Lyon earlier this month.

Barcelona, which visits Stuttgart in the Champions League on Tuesday, led the Spanish league ahead of Sunday's league matches.
