INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Pacers guard Reggie Miller underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle Monday.
The surgery, performed by the Pacers' team doctor Sandy Kunkel, cleaned out loose cartilage and bone spurs from the ankle.
Miller, 37, will begin rehabilitation immediately and is expected to make a full recovery. He's coming off the worst playoff series of his career, averaging 9.2 points on 28 percent shooting in a six-game loss to Boston.
Miller, a free agent, originally sustained a deep bone bruise to his right ankle during an exhibition game before the World Championships in August. The injury bothered him all season.
