--St. Mary's will be the team that pays for San Diego's conference tournament win.  Since there are only 65 slots, there is no way the selection committee can take three teams from a mid-major conference.  Gonzaga makes it by virtue of winning the regular season title.

--I calculate the bracket, in part, by using a conference rating scale --with 6 being best, and 1 being least-best.

--Although the non-conference schedule is important to my points totals, I place the majority of my points on the conference schedule.  If a team plays in a conference that is weak overall, then their point total will suffer.  One way to judge the conference schedule is to look at how many tournament bids they have projected for the tournament.  In my bracket Memphis is a 2-seed, simply beacuse of the conference they play in.

--Any teams that are not at least .500 in their conference are dropped from my bracket.  Examples --Arizona and Syracuse.  Traditionally, the committee will not accept them; and it really does not matter how good they are.

--Thanks for looking.  Please leave comments --bad or good.   It does help me to hear from you.

About : My two cents --NCAA bracket
I am an idiot (really, I am) --but then, I know about as much as members of the committee do --so why not try it? Here's my two-cents. Take it or leave it! Either way, thanks for looking. Good luck to your team in March! Best wishes!
