Giants the better team

Wow! The Giants deserved this win. They were the better team.

The Giants' defensive line neutralized the Packers' running game the entire game. The Giants' defense shut down the Pack in the second half. To do so in Lambeau in these conditions is very impressive.

And, what can I say about Eli Manning. He has grown up in the last four weeks. He was absolutely brilliant today. He didn't make any mistakes and he did what he had to do.

Plaxico Burress couldn't be stopped. He made Al Harris look foolish. I didn't expect that.

Congrats to the Giants. They deserve it.

Giants the better team

If the game is played in New Jersey where it's 20 degrees warmer I'd bet we'd have a different outcome, I do not doubt Green Bay is the better team of the two this season, but certainly not so today. I think the weather played the largest factor in the New York victory. The climate of Green Bay is not conducive to the style of offense Green Bay likes to run, and it was proven here today if it wasn't already in week 16 after Chicago destroyed Green Bay 35-7

That's to take nothing away from New York, not enough can be said about their path to the Super Bowl this year. Ten straight road victories including at Dallas and at Green Bay in the playoffs. And more impressive than anything is the play of Eli Manning, who certainly has shut his critics up in his last four games (105.1 QB rating) when his team needed him most

As a Packers fan of course it's disappointing to lose a game everybody said we should win, but just looking at how this season unfolded and knowing that we far surpassed anyone's expectations this season, and understanding that we are still the youngest team in the NFL, I think you have to be very happy with the way the season went. Whether Brett Favre stays or goes, we're looking at a team that (on paper at least) should be one of the most competitive in the NFL for years to come

Regarding your final sentence, I couldn't agree more. I'm so thrilled with this season in spite of what happened on Sunday night. The future looks bright.

Giants the better team

I think both the Giants and the Packers should be very happy as both of these teams went further than was expected. That being said I think the Giants are the better team. The Packers are a younger team and are an up and coming team with a bright future. Part of making a team great though is winning those tough games... on the road... or in bad weather... or coming back from being down. So saying that the outcome would have been different if the weather was different or the location was changed is essentially a non issue. A better team is the one that could pull off the game despite the situation and despite the setbacks. I think its ironic that everyone pointed to the frigid weather and the rough conditions at Lambaeu field as the reason that the Packers would win the game. Then the Giants play better on the road at Lambeau field in harsh conditions and now people are blaming those reasons for the Packers loss. The reality of the situation is that the Giants Defense held Favre in check and stopped the run effectively. Besides the 1 long TD play that was due to a botched coverage on the Giants D, Favre virtually did nothing all night. Eli consistently had long drives and marched them down the field numerous times. If our kicker was more effective this game would have been over earlier and never even went into OT. I think overall the Giants are a better team and it showed in this game! It was a great game and I think both teams deserves accolades for their performance this season and post season.

With that said... GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Giants the better team

I think the Giants just played bad and had missed chances (due to the weather) I think them playing in a better climate would have helped the Giants as much as the Packers.  That simple I said to my friends and family great teams find a way to win despite missed chances or playing bad look at the Patriots they have and so have the Giants the Cowboys haven't and the "dominated" the game against the Giants... other then that one pass the Giants really dominated that game and and some stupid mental errors and missed FG's and dropped passes and missed throws but they came out on top because they never broke.

GO GIANTS!!!

the packers should have won that game but penalties and turnovers killed the pack. Kudos to the giants for beating the packers!
