--TB DaJuane Collins must shoulder the load following the departure of multi-talented tailback/returner Jalen Parmele. Collins flashed big-play potential in limited duty last year. The offense can score points in bunches if Collins can grind out yards on the ground.

--S Barry Church, a two-time first-team All-MAC selection, is set for another big season. This time, Church will have some help around him with several talented defensive players returning. Expect Church to have another solid season with the return of Tyrrell Herbert, who redshirted last year.

--QB Aaron Opelt is ready to lead the offense after starting 15 games in his first two years. Opelt should be more consistent and a bigger presence in the locker room after earning the starting spot with a solid season last year.

SPRING MOVERS

CB Desmond Marrow -- Earned a starting spot following a strong spring. Marrow missed all of last season because of a foot injury, but his size (6-foot-3) and athleticism is a blessing for the secondary.

LT Mike VanDerMeulen -- At 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds, the redshirt freshman has the size to become a starter for several years following the graduation of standout John Greco.

NG Maurice Hill -- Lost 20 pounds to become a force in the middle for the defense. The Rockets can use a strong push to help take the pressure off the secondary and force opponents into mistakes.

TB Gordon Warner -- Took snaps at slot receiver to give the Rockets a different look. In high school, Warner played tailback and wide receiver. In the spring, he resumed the same role to give the offense another weapon.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I'm very excited about what I've seen this spring with the improvement in our defense. We've moved some players into new positions. We moved D.J. Summers and Terrell Willis from linebacker to defensive end. They bring a lot of speed to that position. We also have Archie Donald back at inside linebacker. He will make a big difference in the middle of our defense. And it's great to see Tyrrell Herbert back in the lineup at free safety." -- UT coach Tom Amstutz following spring practice.
