2008 OUTLOOK: It's time to put up or shut up. At least that's what Al Golden thinks as his Owls enter his third year as a head coach. This team has played so many young players and Golden is excited about the new guys coming in, but the returning group has played a lot of football and proved last year it can win games, especially in the conference. Remember, Temple returns all 22 starters from last year's team.

SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
Adam DiMichele was the Temple MVP last season and couldn't finish the season because of a broken leg. He will be back and it appeared the Owls were building a running attack, centering around some new faces. There are explosive players on this side of the ball, with Bruce Francis one of the most exciting players in the MAC.

SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
It's not often you can return all 11 starters on either side of the ball and Temple is doing it on both sides of the ball. Temple's defense led the MAC in five statistical categories, including total defense and DT Andre Neblett and S Dominique Harris are among the league's best.

SCOUTING THE SPECIAL TEAMS
When you hear Daryl Robinson blocked two extra points in the spring game, you look at it two ways -- it's great that he did it, but the kicking game also let it happen. Jake Brownell and Jeff Wathne return as the kicker and punter, respectively. There is talent in the return game, with Travis Shelton always a threat.

ROSTER REPORT

--TB Jared Williams, a high school runner, played DB at Arizona Western College and is back at TB.

--QB Vaughn Charlton was 13-for-28 for 209 yards and two touchdowns in the spring game.

--LB Alex Joseph made 11 tackles in the spring game.

--DE Elijah "Peanut" Joseph capped a strong spring with eight tackles in the spring game.
