PLAYER NOTES

--RW Marian Hossa's first goal as a Red Wing will be the 300th of his NHL career.

--G Ty Conklin will make his Red Wings debut Monday when he starts against Carolina.

--D Andreas Lilja played in his 400th game on Saturday.

MEDICAL WATCH

--D Chris Chelios sustained a fractured right tibia during a preseason game on Sept. 30 and is expected to be out until early November.

--RW Darren McCarty (groin strain) was injured during training camp and starts the season on injured reserve. He is expected to be out at least two weeks.

--G Jimmy Howard sustained a broken finger in practice on Oct. 4 and starts the season on injured reserve. When he's healthy, in about a week to 10 days, he will be assigned to Grand Rapids.

Well we've all seen the numerous failed league attempts. I figured I would go another route for this next one. As Cap has mentioned, he is thinking about starting a new league within the next week, missing the first week of play. Not a huge deal IMO. If we want to have an all Red Wing starting line up for the Western Conference, we need to get out and do more voting.  As it stands right now, the 3 forwards and Lidstrom are in, but Rafalski and Ozzi have a way to go.  IT's going to take all of Hockeytown to get all 6 in the starting line up.
