Fisher psyched for 2008-09 season: The Sports Xchange reports Senators C Mike Fisher says the knee he injured at the end of last season is perfectly healed and he's optimistic about the Senators chances in 2008-09. "I think it's going to be a great year," Fisher said. "I think we'll be more excited about coming to training camp because it's been a while since we last played."

Fisher had 23 goals, 24 assists and a minus-10 rating in 79 games last season. He was extremely valuable to Ottawa when injuries hit some of their top line forwards (Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson). Fisher has managed 20-20 campaigns for the last two seasons and it's easy to project him for another 20-20 season in 2008-09 as a top-six forward in Ottawa. Consider Fisher a decent low-end Fantasy forward to start on times when the points are really flowing.
