The Flames placed Eriksson, veteran defensemen Rhett Warrener and forward Jamie Lundmark on waivers Tuesday to get below the salary cap. All three are headed to the Flames' AHL affiliate in the Quad Cities unless claimed off waivers by another club or traded. (Updated 10/07/2008)

Eriksson and Warrener have one-way contracts and reassigning the three players puts Calgary's payroll $2 million below the $56.7-million cap. The defenseman, who was put on waivers this summer, had a goal and 17 assists in 61 games for Calgary in 2007-08.
