Bertuzzi heading north: Free-agent forward Todd Bertuzzi signed a one-year, $1.95 million contract with the Calgary Flames on Monday. "Todd is a proven scorer with the ability to play both wings," Flames general manager Darryl Sutter said. "He expressed to us that he wanted to play in Canada and that desire along with signing him to a one-year deal was important to our philosophy. He wanted to play on a good team and it fit our money. Additionally, our captain, Jarome Iginla, was a strong supporter of Todd and wanted him on our team." (Updated 07/07/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Bertuzzi had 14 goals and 26 assists last season for the Anaheim Ducks. The 6-foot-3, 231-pound forward has 580 points in 793 career regular-season games. Consider him an injury-risk sleeper on Fantasy Draft Day 2008 who should easily top 40 points alongside guys like Iginla and will rack up close to 100 penalty minutes. (Updated 07/07/2008).
