Boulerice happy and sad during debut: The Sports Xchange reports RW Jesse Boulerice made his Oilers debut Saturday against Colorado. He's caught between being thrilled about his return to the NHL and disappointed that he's thousands of miles away from his expectant wife. "Our first child is coming in 2 1/2 weeks," he said. "My wife is a little upset, she wishes she could be here, but they don't want her to fly right now. It does make it hard, but this is the ultimate goal and where I want to be, so it's for the family."

Boulerice didn't have a point in 4:58 of ice time Saturday and the enforcer didn't even get into a fight despite Colorado dressing plenty of head hunters. Boulerice will always been linked to the nasty slashing incident with Ryan Kesler that landed him a 25-game suspension in 2007-08. Boulerice is nothing more than fourth line forward when up in the NHL and should only be used in leagues that reward heavily for PIM.
