Havlat has shoulder surgery: Blackhawks forward Martin Havlat had surgery on his left shoulder Thursday and should be ready for next season's training camp in September. Havlat played in only 35 games this season and had 10 goals and 17 assists. (Updated 03/13/2008).
Injury Report
No information available at this time (Updated 7/26/08).
Fantasy Analysis
Havlat injured the shoulder in the season opener at Minnesota on Oct. 4 and missed 22 games. After extensive rehab, he returned to the lineup on November 28th. Havlat re-injured his shoulder on February 27th versus Phoenix and it was determined surgery was needed to repair the shoulder for next season. When healthy, and unfortunately for him that does not seem to be very often, Havlat is capable of putting up a point per game and that makes him a solid No. 2 Fantasy forward. (Updated 03/13/2008).
