Pielmeier, 18, spent the 2007-08 season with St. John's of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He appeared in 63 games while posting a 23-26 record with a 2.94 GAA. He led the QMJHL in save percentage (.911) and posted one shutout. The Germany native was selected by San Jose in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He is nothing more than a long-term keeper.
