--Vice president of player personnel Vinny Cerrato said the Redskins will sign 13 undrafted players and dozens of tryout players for the May 4-6 rookie minicamp.

--Strong side linebacker Marcus Washington, who missed the final two games of last season with hip and knee injuries, is ready to begin working out after missing the first month of the offseason program.

--Four Redskins -- receiver Cedric Bonner, guard Kili Lefotu, defensive tackle Bryant Shaw and quarterback Casey Bramlet -- started last weekend in NFL Europa. Bramlet was 12-of-18 for 116 yards for Hamburg.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"At the sixth pick, you're looking long-term. Can this player play 10 to 12 years? And although it's initially crowded at his position, we (want to) feel like he'll play there long-term and has a chance to go to Pro Bowls." -- Joe Gibbs previewing the Redskins' thoughts on picking sixth.
