NFL lets Pacman practice with 'Boys: The NFL announced that Commissioner Roger Goodell told Cowboys CB Pacman Jones that he could be reinstated to participate in club OTAs, minicamps, training camp and preseason games. However, Jones is still suspended for regular-season play. According to a press release by the NFL, "a final determination on his reinstatement for the 2008 regular season will be made by September 1. Commissioner Goodell told Jones that his continued participation in the NFL depends on demonstrating that he can conduct himself in a lawful and reliable manner. Jones will be expected to continue the personal conduct program established for him by the NFL and the Cowboys and to avoid further adverse involvement with law enforcement." (Updated 06/02/2008).
Injury Report
Suspension - Eligible for reinstatement for the 2008 season (Updated - 1/15/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Jones, who turns 25 in September, had three punt return touchdowns and was also a valuable contributor on defense in 2006. However, he has been arrested six times and has been at or near a dozen police investigations since being drafted with the sixth pick overall in the 2005 draft. Most recently, Jones owed a Las Vegas casino $20,000, something that the NFL surely noticed but didn't think was too serious of an issue since they've allowed him back to an extent. Right now he has minimal Fantasy value in IDP leagues, though if fully reinstated he'd be worth using as a No. 3 Fantasy DB if you get credit for special-teams play. (Updated 06/02/2008).

Advice
The lawyer who accompanied the 24-year-old Dallas Cowboys cornerback to the Clark County Regional Justice Center declined comment Friday about Jones' appearance. Jones pleaded no contest in December to a disorderly conduct charge and agreed to cooperate in the shooting investigation. He was accused of inciting a melee inside the club that led to the shooting outside during the weekend of the 2007 NBA All-Star game.
