NT Alan Branch's development this year is key to the Cardinals' defensive improvement. Gabe Watson is coming off an offseason knee injury, and the Cardinals need one of those two young nose tackles to become a dominant player. If they don't, their 3-4 defense isn't going to be as good as coaches expect. Branch has been a regular at off-season workouts. He needs to have a great training camp, because it was evident last year that his techniques and fundamentals needed considerable work. 07/17/2008
