Chiefs sign rookie Morgan: The Chiefs announced Friday that the club has agreed to terms of a three-year contract with S DaJuan Morgan. Morgan (6-0, 203) joined the Chiefs as the club's third of three third-round picks (82nd overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft. He saw action in 38 contests (12 starts) at North Carolina State, recording 245 tackles (169 solo), 19 passes defended and six interceptions. He also added nine special teams tackles and a 44-yard run on a fake punt. He entered the draft with a year of college eligibility remaining. Morgan appeared in all 12 contests (11 starts) for the Wolfpack in 2007, opening six games at free safety and five games at strong safety. He produced a career-best 117 tackles (83 solo), three interceptions, 13 passes defended and one forced fumble. He earned second-team All-ACC honors. (Updated 07/18/2008).
Injury Report

Fantasy Analysis
Morgan has a chance to play right away, especially with the Chiefs releasing Greg Wesley. Look for Morgan to make some plays, but he can be ignored in IDP drafts for now until his role is defined. (Updated 07/18/2008).
