The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that new Dolphins coach Tony Sparano wants to have Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams share carries in 2008. Both are coming off of season-ending injuries (Brown tore his ACL, Williams tore a chest muscle). The club will see how the two players complement each other and come up with a plan from there. "In our league, you're seeing less and less of that one back, that [one] guy doing it all the time," Sparano said. "I mean you can look around the league and really see that's something that doesn't last very long because of injury, and because of how good the other people are." (Updated 04/02/2008).
Injury Report
Knee - Questionable for the start of 2008 training camp (Updated - 4/2/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Sparano added that he won't rush Ronnie Brown back from his injury but is hopeful that he will be on time for training camp. He also mentioned that reserve RB Lorenzo Booker "jumps off the film" and wants to find a role for him. Figure that Brown will still get the most work so long as he's fully recovered from the ACL, but he won't be a mega-back like the Tomlinsons, Jacksons and Westbrooks of the world. Williams will aid in the duties, and Booker could be as much as a passing downs back. We've got a long way to go before figuring out the Miami run game, but expect Brown to be a low-end No. 2 Fantasy RB worth a pick in Round 3, and Williams and Booker nothing more than late-round choices as reserves. (Updated 04/02/2008).
