Fantasy Analysis
Arrington had 26 carries for 78 yards (3.0 avg.) in 2007, actually a rise in rushing production from him. But his impact was better felt in the passing game as he set career-highs in receptions (29), receiving yards (241) and touchdowns (one). Arrington also seemed to be good for around five touches per game toward the latter third of the season, supplanting Marcel Shipp as the primary backup to Edgerrin James in 2007, and he could land a larger role in 2008 since the Cards only added one RB late in the 2008 draft. Arrington will be in a contract year next season and might step up his play to earn an extension. Remember, he has just 152 rushes and 62 catches in his career, so there's plenty of tread on the tire. Assuming that he doesn't receive a suspension for violating the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, he's draftable in the deepest of leagues as a late-round flier. For now, he's the guy if Edgerrin James were to miss playing time. (Updated 06/18/2008).
