Patriots RB Kevin Faulk passed a drug test after being caught at a concert with four joints and will not have to enter the NFL's substance abuse program, according to a Louisiana newspaper. The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette spoke to Faulk, who told the paper the marijuana did not belong to him, but was instead in the pocket of a borrowed jacket he was wearing while attending a concert last Friday. Faulk was issued a misdemeanor summons for possession of marijuana when a routine search by a sheriff's deputy revealed the four marijuana cigarettes. Faulk told the paper that he immediately contacted Patriots coach Bill Belichick and submitted to the drug test Monday. (Updated 02/29/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Hopefully this is the last time Faulk will have a run-in with authorities and won't face any more possible drug suspensions. If he is not suspended as expected, Faulk would be considered a low-end Fantasy option in 2008. He is expected to be the backup to Laurence Maroney and assume the third-down back duties.
